Sweet Scrubs: Clinique Sweet Pots and the Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi anybody!
This has been a crazy calendar month, and I oasis't really taken intendance of myself (in that location is such a thing equally likewise much pizza) or addressed that pile of laundry that somehow doubles in size every night.
Whenever I feel like this, similar I'chiliad always behind, I expect forward to treating myself with an extra-long night beauty routine, and one production I've recently added to my regimen is a moisturizing lip scrub.
In fact, hither's a await at 2 new lip scrubs I've recently tried.
Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish ($12)
The first new ane I tried was Pixi Nourishing Lip Shine ($12, available at Pixi and Target stores), which is new for bound.
OK…this i is not bad, and I've never really tried anything like it! The plastic tip, which feels like a firm-but-squishy silicone, feels AMAZING when I scrub my lips with it, and since I'm able to command the pressure and placement, I feel like I'g massaging areas of my lips that I've never massaged before!
The moisturizing oils experience luxurious, too, although I do wipe them off after I'm done exfoliating. The instructions recommend keeping the formula on after the scrub, but it feels really weird with expressionless skin sitting at that place… I love how mess-free this production is as an exfoliator, but just as an exfoliator.
Ingredients
Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Shorea Robusta Resin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Silica, Octyldodecanol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Xanthous Beeswax, Apricot (Prunus Armeniaca) Kernel Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sugariness Almond) Oil, Xylitol, Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Seed Oil, Camellia Japonica Seed oil, Linoleic Acrid, Linolenic Acid, Tocopherol.
Clinique Sweet Pots Saccharide Scrub & Lip Lotion ($19.50)
New for spring 2016, the Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm ($19.50 each, available in multiple shades) is a ii-in-ane production housed in an adorable double-ended jar that mimics a delicious macaron.
1 side is a sugar scrub suspended in antioxidant-rich plant oils, while the other side is a fragrance-costless balm. Interestingly, these are fragrance-costless, considering the packaging looks like candy!
Suggested Usage:
- Gently massage saccharide scrub on lips, then tissue off.
- Use upwardly to three times per week.
- Smooth on balm anytime lips need lasting moisture and a hint of smoothen.
Most sugar scrubs are more than sugar than anything else, simply this one feels similar a paste, so because of this, it tastes more similar wax than sugar (bleh).
As a ii-in-1 product, these are actually handy to keep in my bathroom drawer. I think that an un-tinted version for night and forenoon lipstick-prep would as well be astonishing.
Telephone call me, Clinique. I got you!
